Harrisburg – The Senate Aging and Youth Committee, chaired by Sen. Bob Mensch (R-24), will hold a hearing next week to discuss Senate Bill 20, sponsored by Sen. LeAnna Washington (D-4), and its proposed changes to the definition of “child abuse” within the Child Protective Services Law.
The hearing will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 9 a.m. in Senate Hearing Room 1.
This bill addresses the recommendations made by the Task Force on Child Protection. The task force recommendations led to the introduction of a bipartisan package of legislation to provide sweeping improvements to Pennsylvania’s child protection laws.
